Year-Long Wellness Program 2024

Here at Clinical Health Appraisals (CHA), we believe the best way to show your employees that you value their health and well-being is to enroll in our Year-Long Wellness Program. This customizable program offers a variety of preventative health screening events and flu vaccinations throughout the year and also comes with a discount on all of CHA’s services. Enrolling your company in our Year-Long Wellness Program is a great way to improve employee engagement and satisfaction while also promoting preventative health and healthy habits.

The Silver Year-Long Wellness Program offered by CHA includes enrollment in two programs per year and a 5% discount on all CHA services. The Gold Year-Long Wellness Program includes enrollment in quarterly programs and a 10% discount on all CHA services. These program options provide increasing levels of engagement and support for employee well-being, with the most frequent and substantial discounts coming with the gold program.

The preventative screenings CHA brings to your workplace can help your employees avoid a stroke, heart attack, diabetes, or other serious health-related episodes. These screenings can also:

  1. Reduce your disability and workman’s compensation claims by catching issues early.
  2. Keep your employees productive and working instead of dealing with health issues.
  3. Cut down on employee turnover, which is very expensive, especially in this labor market.

We have also seen that when an employee believes their company cares about them, they will work harder and be more loyal. All of these reasons can translate into big savings for your company.

This makes the Year-Long Wellness Program a win-win solution. You win by saving on the bottom line and your employees win by having more opportunities for preventative healthcare options at their workplace.

The Year-Long Wellness Program offered by CHA includes a variety of options for preventative health screenings and promoting health among team members. Here are some examples of the types of health screenings and events that may be included in the program:

Elevated Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Excessive Body Fat and Diabetes CHA’s Biometrics Gold or Silver Plan is a great way to screen your team members for health issues such as elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, excessive body fat and diabetes. This plan will give your employees the opportunity to know their physical health numbers, and if their numbers are out of range, our team will encourage them to live healthier lives and to see their health care provider. It’s important to keep track of these numbers as they are key indicators of overall health and wellness. Click here and read the first point to learn more. The current price is listed in this link.

InfluenzaHosting a Flu Vaccination Clinic at the workplace can be an effective way to help protect employees from the flu virus. CHA offers flu clinics that can be held at the workplace during the fall or early winter to maximize effectiveness. By providing employees with the opportunity to receive a flu shot on-site, it can make it more convenient and accessible for them to get vaccinated. Click here and read the third point to learn more. OsteoporosisBone Mineral Density (BMD) testing is a quick and easy way to determine if an individual is at risk of osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by weak and brittle bones that are more likely to fracture, and BMD testing can help identify individuals at risk of developing the condition. CHA staff can perform BMD testing on your team members in just a couple of minutes, making it a convenient option for workplaces. Holding a BMD testing event in the winter can be especially beneficial, as the increased fall risk in wet conditions can make individuals more susceptible to bone fractures. Sun Damage and Possible Skin CancerCHA offers a short screening using a DermaScan machine which can help detect possible sun damage, a precursor to skin cancer, and also show the effectiveness of sunscreen. This is a great event to be held during the spring or summer when people are spending more time outdoors and exposed to the sun’s harmful UV rays. Sunscreen is an important tool in protecting the skin from sun damage and skin cancer, but it can be difficult to know how effective it is in protecting your skin. The DermaScan screening can provide valuable information on the sun protection factor (SPF) of an individual’s sunscreen, and help identify areas of the skin that may require additional protection. This screening can be done as an individual or as part of a group, it’s important to note that this screening is not a substitute for a dermatologist’s evaluation or any other medical professional’s evaluation. Diabetes The HbA1c Diabetes Test is a blood test that measures the average blood sugar levels over the past three months. It’s a different type of diabetes test than the momentary blood glucose test, which measures the blood sugar levels at a specific moment. The HbA1c test is used to diagnose and monitor diabetes, and it can also be used to screen for prediabetes, a condition in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. The HbA1c test is considered a more accurate way to diagnose diabetes because it reflects an individual’s average blood sugar levels over an extended period of time. Tuberculin (Mantoux) TB Skin Test (TST) – CHA offers a TB Skin Test (TST). The TST is a simple test that involves injecting a small amount of TB protein (purified protein derivative or PPD) under the skin. The test is usually performed on the forearm, and a small, raised bump will appear at the site of the injection. 48 to 72 hours later, a CHA nurse will return (at no additional cost) to read the results of the test. A positive TST result (induration) means that the individual has been exposed to TB at some point in their life, but it does not confirm active TB infection. To confirm an active TB infection, additional testing, such as chest x-ray and sputum culture, will be needed. A negative test result does not completely rule out the possibility of TB infection. The price is in Additional Health Promotion Services on the second page of this link.

Tuberculosis (TB) Risk AssessmentThe TB Risk Assessment is a questionnaire that assesses an individual’s risk of having TB based on factors such as travel history, contact with TB patients, or underlying health conditions. If an individual completes the questionnaire and is deemed low risk, they may be able to bypass the TST and complete the assessment that day. However, it’s important to note that the TB Risk Assessment is not a substitute for a medical evaluation, and if a person is deemed high risk, they will be referred for a TST or IGRA blood test. We can perform this service in-person or online through Zoom. The price is listed in Additional Health Promotion Services on the second page of this link.

Educational Seminars Learning and growth are important for overall well-being and happiness. CHA offers a variety of educational programs and workshops to help employees learn about health and wellness topics and improve their overall well-being. These programs can cover a wide range of topics, such as stress management, nutrition, physical activity, and disease prevention, and can be tailored to the specific needs and interests of the group. They can be offered in different lengths of time, from short presentations to more in-depth workshops and training sessions. These programs can be a valuable resource for employees and can help them develop the knowledge and skills they need to make positive changes in their lives and improve their overall health and well-being. We can perform these seminars in-person, online through Zoom, or recorded on Youtube. Click this link to see our current available wellness seminars and pricing information. *Total price of the seminars  must be greater that $450 to qualify for the Year-Long Wellness Program discount.

Chair Massage TherapyCHA partners with a network of experienced massage therapists in the Bay Area to provide on-site massage services for workplaces. Massage therapy can be a great way to show employees that their well-being is valued and to offer them a beneficial service. CHA’s massage therapists typically work in 4-hour shifts, and they spend around 10 minutes with each employee. This allows for several employees to receive a massage during the shift. This service can be a great way to help employees reduce stress and tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation and overall well-being.
